Best video editing laptop under $650(50,000INR) : 4K video editing laptop at low price

Best video editing laptop

video editing laptop

Price    $650 (50,000INR)

These laptops are gonna be capable of editing up to 4K video in Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve or basically any other video editing software other than Final Cut, which is Mac only. They'll also be great for sound mixing, after effects graphics work, editing photos, basically any content creation is going to be good on these laptops. Now that said though, there's gotta be a catch, right? How can you get a good laptop for low price Well, here's the catch. If you've tried to buy a computer in the last year or so, you've probably noticed it has been very difficult to find computer parts for affordable prices due to shortages brought about by the pandemic.

One of the most difficult parts to find has been graphics cards. And as a result, this has driven up the cost of most laptops with dedicated graphics cards to over low price. So to compensate, these budget laptops use an integrated AMD GPU, which to be clear is still good but not absolutely fantastic. You will still be able to edit 8-bit 4K video but if you want to edit 10-bit 4K, 6K video, raw video, et cetera, you will probably want to look into a higher end laptop. some laptops that are over money that included dedicated graphics cards and are capable of editing pretty much anything you want to throw at them.

All right, onto the under budget laptops. Let's start with the cheapest 4K video editing laptop that I recommend, the ASUS VivoBook M515UA-NS77, just rolls off the tongue there. This laptop comes in at low price which is surprisingly reasonable. While I haven't been able to find a ton of reviews for it at the time of making this video because it's just so new. The specs look good and the ASUS VivoBook line is usually well built for the price. With a 512GB SSD, 16GB of RAM and two USB 3.2 ports, one of them being a USB type C, that all sounds good right? Well, it also includes two USB 2.0 ports which are practically ancient and only really fast enough for plugging in a mouse. Please do not plug an external hard drive into one of those ports to edit from.

You will be wondering why everything's so slow. Also in regards to battery life for this laptop and really battery life for all of the laptops in this video will knock them all out right now. Regardless of what the manufacturer claims when it comes to video editing, which is a very intensive process that requires a lot of processor and a lot of hard drive reading and generally a bright screen for color correction and color grading, don't expect anything near what the manufacturer claims for battery life. In my experience, regardless of the claim battery life, I would expect anywhere from three to five hours.

Back to positives now, the biggest pro of this laptop by far is that ASUS crammed a Ryzen 5700U processor inside which includes 8 cores and 16 threads of performance, the exact kind of performance you need for video editing. I'm frankly a bit shocked they put this CPU in this laptop for lower cost but I'm definitely not complaining. We sadly can't end talking about this laptop on a positive note though because the screen quality is rather mediocre. It's pretty dim and worse, it's not very color accurate. I'm betting this screen will be fine for the actual editing part of video editing. But if you're planning on doing any sort of color correction or color grading, I would make sure you already have a color accurate external monitor that you can use
