Lenovo Flex 5

Lenovo Flex 5

Price      $750 (55,000INR)

The Lenovo Flex 5 is a good purchase. It has a decent keyboard and track pad, 512GB SSD, USB 3.2 type A and type C ports, and HDMI 2.0 port and even an SD card slot. The Flex naming of this laptop also refers to its literal flexibility. As you can flip the screen over and use it as a admittedly chunky tablet. Speaking of the screen, this is where the Flex 5 goes from great deal for low price to just okay. Just like the ASUS VivoBook, it has a 60Hz panel that's not very color accurate. So I can really only recommend it for editing not for color correction or grading.

You're going to need an external monitor or to spend a bit more for a laptop with a better screen. Now, if you decide to go with the Flex 5, you should know that Lenovo sells a lot of different IdeaPad models. So you're gonna wanna make sure that you buy the specific model that comes with an AMD Ryzen 5700U processor and 16GB of RAM. With 8 cores and 16 threads of performance, this CPU offers a great amount of power for video editing while still being relatively power efficient. In regards to the 16GB of RAM.

The reason that I'm so insistent that you find a model with 16 gigs is because Lenovo solders the RAM to the motherboard, meaning that unlike other laptops where you can just unscrew the bottom, pop out the chips, and replace them with faster RAM, you can't do that with this laptop. You can unscrew it, but you can just look at the RAM. You can't actually change it. So make sure you opt for the model with 16GB of RAM, that is the minimum amount that I recommend for video editing.
